The PTA facilitates the Howie's Harbor Fund which is provides funds that support families within our school community (Center and OHS) who are in need. We encourage families in need to reach out to the school principals for support.
As a part of the Massachusetts PTA, the Mattapoisett PTA adheres to the Massachusetts PTA's non-discrimination policy states that membership is open to anyone who supports the PTA's mission and meets other membership requirements. The PTA values the diversity of our members and aims to represent their communities.

The PTA believes that respecting differences and acknowledging commonalities can help the PTA be more effective and gain more support.
In accordance with Massachusetts law:
Massachusetts law prohibits discrimination based on membership in a protected class, including race, color, disability, age, sex, and more.
The Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD) enforces anti-discrimination laws.
Individuals can file a complaint with the MCAD if they believe they were treated unfairly or differently based on their membership in a protected class.
